Kingillion

Building the castle…

Kingillion

The internet never had a king. Now it has a throne.

How Kingillion works

Kingillion is a throne for the whole internet. One person at a time sits on it, and their picture paints the king of a voxel castle floating above the clouds, with their name, a message and a link.

Take the throne

  1. Upload a picture, choose a name, add a link if you like and a message for the king you are replacing.
  2. Pay at least 12.45% more than the current king.
  3. Your portrait paints the king on the throne and flies on the banners of every tower.
  4. You reign until somebody pays more: minutes or months, nobody knows.

The Million Wall

Every king gets a portrait on the wall behind the throne: one million pixels, and the longer the reign, the bigger the portrait. Portraits shrink as new kings arrive; when the wall is full, the shortest reigns stay in the list of kings. Zoom in and each one stays crisp, pixel by pixel.

Explore the castle

Walk the throne room, then out through the great gate onto a little planet floating in the sky: a deep forest of oaks, firs and redwoods with a lantern-lit trail, deer, foxes, squirrels and rabbits, a pond with fish, owls and fireflies at night, and fireworks for every new king. Day, night, rain and snow follow the island clock.

Questions

Is Kingillion a game or a lottery?
No. You buy display space on this page: your picture, your name, a message and a link, shown for as long as you are king. There are no prizes, no winners and nothing to win back.
How much does the throne cost?
At least 12.45% more than the last king paid. The very first king paid €1.00, and a single payment never goes above €1,000,000.00. The current price is always on the Take the throne button, taxes included.
Who can buy the throne?
Adults only. Small amounts need no papers; once your purchases pass €100.00 in total, you photograph an ID document and Stripe checks that it is genuine and that you are 18 or older, and past €1,000.00 a selfie is matched to it too. The name on the document must be the payer's.
How long will I reign?
Until somebody pays more. Nobody can promise a minimum time, so only pay what the space is worth to you.
Can I get a refund?
Only where the law gives you the right. Within 14 days you can withdraw while you are still king: your reign ends and you get the price back minus 1/14 for each day on the throne. Once someone else has taken the throne, the service is complete.
What pictures are allowed?
Your own photo, a pet, a drawing or anything you have the rights to. No nudity, minors, celebrities, violence, hate, politics, gambling, famous brands, web addresses or QR codes. Every picture, name, message and link is checked automatically by AI before the coronation: if something is refused, you pay nothing and we tell you why.
Can I choose any name?
Any nickname of 2 to 24 letters, digits, dots, dashes or underscores. A name belongs to the first king who used it: only they can use it again. Names that pose as Kingillion or its staff are refused.
Can I add a link to my site?
Yes, one link per reign, shown on your portrait and in the list of kings. Links are marked as sponsored, and the AI check opens the page first: gambling, adult, scam, investment or political sites are refused.
How do I report a portrait?
Use Report on the king's card, or write to hello@polyphorm.studio saying which king and why. We review every report quickly; content that breaks the rules is replaced by an emblem.
Is it like the Million Dollar Homepage?
In spirit, yes. In 2005 the Million Dollar Homepage sold a million pixels for a dollar each. Kingillion sells one throne at a time, and gives every king a portrait on its own Million Wall of one million pixels, while there is room.
Who runs Kingillion?
Kingillion is run by Polyphorm di A.M., a sole proprietorship in Italy (VAT IT05496490755). Contact: hello@polyphorm.studio.
